If we analyse the cumulative sales between the time period from January to September amounting to 1,03,884 units, which is the highest amount of sales in Vietnam’s automotive history.

Which Models helped Vinfast achieve this feat?

The Global Deputy CEO of Sales and Marketing, Duong Thi Thu Trang expressed his views on the achievement and said, “Apart from the figure of 1 lakh vehicles, there are millions of users who have supported our customers.

What impact will it have on India?

Vinfast’s success story is highly relatable for India’s evolving EV market as just like Vietnam, India’s car market is currently led by conventional internal combustion engines, but the significant rise of VinFast shows how government support, local manufacturing, and cost-effective compact EVs can transform consumer approach.

Thus if the same strategy is implemented in India, it can result in rapid expansion of EVs in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with compact and affordable models like VF3 reflecting what Indian manufacturers are trying to achieve with entry-level EVs such as Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3.

VinFast’s achievements also highlight the scope of growth in Southeast Asia as an EV hub, thus creating tons of opportunities for cross-market partnerships or exports to India, once trade and production networks grow abundantly.
