2026 Tata Tiago EV New Vs Old: Key Differences Explained
Tata has finally launched the much-awaited 2026 Tiago EV at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh. The refreshed Tiago EV features redesigned exterior, new lighting setups, and completely new bumpers and alloy wheels to make the design stand out from the previous version.

Difference: With the 26 update, Tata has slashed the prices of Tiago EV by Rs 1 lakh and it has replaced the MG Comet EV as the country's most affordable car. The prices for each variant has been significantly reduced despite adding features and revising the design. One of the biggest differences is the pricing of the top variant which has been reduced by Rs 1.15 lakh.
To make the Tiago EV even more accessible, Tata has also introduced Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, under which the upfront cost is around Rs 4.69 lakh + Rs 2.6/Km.

Difference: The charging times through 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW remains the same, but the biggest difference is in charging speeds as the 2026 Tiago EV supports faster 30 kW DC charging.
2026 Tata Tiago EV New Vs Old: Features & Powertrains
In terms of features, the 2026 Tiago EV Facelift gets additional features as compared to the previous model such as rear A/C vents, front seatback pockets, front center armrest, fabric door armrests, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), 65W Type-C charging port and one-touch up/down for the driver side window.
The additional safety features include 360-Degree Camera, blind-spot monitor, and 6 airbags standard across the range. The powertrains and power figures are unchanged and remain the same as it is powered by 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs.

- FRONT: The 2026 Tiago EV features a new blanked-off grille which gets body-coloured panel instead of the gloss black one. The headlights are revamped now with integrated LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), new redesigned bumpers, and a refreshed central air intake for a sophisticated look.
- SIDE: At the side, the profile remains largely unchanged with the new grey wheel arches and new wheel covers for the 14-inch steel wheels. The EV branding is also revised with 'Tata.ev' branding at the doors.
- REAR: The rear end of the Tiago 2026 is the part which has a lot of differences as it features new LED tail-lamps, which are connected by a red bar just to give a modern touch to the car. The Tiago EV branding has been shifted to the center of the bumper.
- Colour Options: The 2026 Tiago EV also gets various new colour options to give a differentiated yet a fresh look to the overall car. It now features new colour options such as Dehradun Dew, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse and Pure Grey.
