BMW i7 eDrive50 real-world Range Test Explained
The BMW i7 eDrive50 is the brand’s most luxurious and flagship electric sedan in BMW’s India lineup. It comes equipped with a massive 101.7 kWh battery pack providing an ARAI-certified range figure of 603 Km on a single charge. We recently had a talk with the owner of the BMW i7 in order to know the exact real-world range he is able to extract with the luxury sedan.
According to the user, the BMW i7 eDrive50 performance in real world provided a range between 460-470 km in mixed-driving conditions. He shared his full details of the range test from 100% SOC to all the way to zero. He has also done occasional road trips with the luxury sedan.
BMW i7 eDrive50 Real-World Range test in India
During the beginning of the range test, the i7 was at its full battery capacity with 100% SOC (State-of-Charge). The user drove the car all the way to 0% SOC and secured a real-world range of 466.6 Km, thus achieving 77% of the claimed ARAI-certified range figures by BMW India.

If we talk about i7 eDrive50 battery capacity and motor power, the i7’s massive battery sends power to an electric motor attached to the rear axle and this motor churns a maximum power output of 444 Bhp and a peak torque of 650 Nm.

If we look at the charging, the user did the majority of charging via the company-provided 11 kW AC charger and it takes around 11 hours to charge from 0-100%. However, the i7 is also capable of fast DC charging and can support a charger with speeds of 195 kW, taking around half an hour to charge from 10-80%.
