Emobi, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) start-up is working on its new electric two-wheeler model defined as AKX, which will be powered by an e-Axle EV drive unit sourced from Japan-based mobility company Musashi Seimitsu Industry.

AKX is the second EMobi model to integrate Musashi’s advanced e-Axle technology after Kyari, which was later introduced in November 2025. According to the company, this partnership will be supporting the electric mobility solutions for India’s two-wheelers and last-mile mobility segments.

The Chief Executive Officer of Musashi India & Africa Region, Naoya Nishimura expressed his views on this and said, “Musashi is currently focussing on the development of next-generation mobility technologies catered according to the needs of evolving electric mobility.

We are confident that our e-Axle solution can provide exceptional performance, efficiency and a seamless riding experience over a longer period of time, which is specifically engineered according to the needs of Indian consumers."
