Jaecoo J5 EV revealed at the 2026 Indonesia Motor Show.
The Chery Jaecoo J5 is soon arriving in India, as JSW is preparing to launch multiple NEVs and could also introduce ICE-powered cars in the lineup. The Jaecoo J5 EV was the first SUV to be spotted testing in the roads of India.
After testing in the Indian roads, the company has showcased the Jaecoo J5 EV at the 2026 Indonesia Motor Show. This is the India-based model as Indonesia is also a right-hand drive market, which ensures the displayed model is the same car spotted testing on the Indian roads.

Visually, the Jaecoo J5 features a closed-off grille, boxy silhouette, dual-tone alloys with aero-inserts, 18-inch tyres, with a Jaecoo branding finished in carbon fiber, and a front right fender-inspired charging port.

The cabin includes all-black with fabric upholstery and is equipped with a clean dashboard featuring minimalist design. It also comprises type-C ports, 64-colour ambient lights, dual-zone automatic A/C, twin wireless charging pad, 13.2-inch infotainment display, a column-mounted drive selector, and two-row seating.
Jaecoo J5 EV Battery & Range
POWER: The Jaecoo J5 EV comes powered with a 61 kWh battery pack, providing a claimed range of 407 km on a single charge. The FWD mounted electric motor will generate 207 Bhp of maximum power output and a peak torque of 288 Nm. The Jaecoo J5 EV can accelerate from 0-100 in just 7.3 seconds, with AC charging of 11 kW AC and also supports DC fast charging up to 130 kW.
