MG has started delivering the Cyberster, which is the manufacturer’s first electric two-door convertible sportscar in India. The company presented the first delivery to the family of the owner with an unexpected surprise, thus making the first delivery a special memory of the sportscar. 

The Cyberster is the first car in the segment to receive scissor doors and modern functionalities, making it a unique offering in India. The owner shared a post on social media featuring their newly acquired car, which boasted a vibrant ‘Flare Red’ sporty color.

The Cyberster has started a completely new segment in this price range and is India’s first all-electric roadster, which is brought to India via a CBU (Completely Built Unit). As it has started a new segment, currently it is enjoying monopoly and don’t have any direct competition in the market, However it faces stiff competition from other high performance car models including the Tesla Model Y, BMW Z4, Porsche 718 Boxster, Kia EV6, Mini Cooper SE, and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

This all-electric roadster generates a strong power of 503 BHP, which is produced by a 77 kWh battery pack, integrated with dual electric motors combining a humongous torque of 725 Nm. As per MG, the car can achieve 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds of time frame, making it one of the most powerful cars in MG’s lineup, providing a significant range of 510 Km on a single charge. 

In the international markets, MG also provides an option of RWD version with a smaller 64 kWh battery pack, producing around 295 BHP and a slightly improved range of 519 km on a single charge.

  • The interior is complemented with two screens measuring 7-inch digital screens and a 10.25-inch central information display. Users get suede and vegan leather upholstery.

  • Comfort features include dual-zone automatic A/C, PM 2.5 filter, and a Bose Audio System, whereas the cabin also comes with performance seats for better grip on fast speeds, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with various controls and a rotary launch control selector for switching between various modes. There is also an inclusion of paddle shifters, which also allows control regenerative braking. 
  • The chassis of the Cyberster is tuned by ex-Formula 1 engineer Marco Fenillo, and it also features Brembo brakes for better stopping power, especially at high speeds and this enables the car to make a stop from 100 to 0 in just 33 meters, which is just fantastic!!
  • Safety features include Level 2 ADAS suite, Driver Monitoring System, multiple airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and a specific body structured design which is engineered to resist rollover at high speeds is managed effectively, guaranteeing total control of the vehicle, particularly when traveling fast.
  • The Side Stability Factor (SSF) of the MG Cyberster is measured around 1.83.

Users can book the MG Cyberster from the brand’s official website or can visit showrooms at ‘MG Select’ located in 13 Indian cities, which also includes a 3.3 kW charger, and with a 7.4 kW wall box charger with a detailed installation process. 

For the Cyberster, MG is extending a lifetime battery warranty to the first owner, coupled with a 3-year unlimited kilometer warranty. You can purchase the MG Cyberster for a premium price of Rs 72.49 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
