Tesla after launching their first showroom in Mumbai is all set to launch their inaugural exclusive charging station in India on August 4. Tesla’s V4 Supercharging stalls, also known as DC charging, are set at a display in BKC (Bandra-Kurla Complex) in Mumbai, with more charging stations soon to be launched at different locations across the country.
Tesla’s First Exclusive Charging Station to Set up in Mumbai
The country’s first charging station will feature Tesla’s four V4 supercharging stalls, featuring DC fast chargers, followed by four destination chargers, also known as AC chargers. Focusing on power capacity, the Tesla supercharging stalls will facilitate a top charging speed of 250 kW, commencing at Rs 24 per kW.
The Destination Chargers supporting powers of 11 kW will cost around Rs 14 per kW, and the payment process will be calculated on Tesla's exclusive app on your smartphone.
Tesla is all set to launch eight new supercharging sites in India, with this being the first one. According to the company, its solo offering in India, the Model Y can add a significant range of 267 Km in just 15 minutes of charging through Tesla’s dedicated superchargers, which is equivalent to five trips between the Gateway of India and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International terminal, which has a distance of 29 Km, one sided.
Tesla Supercharging Network
As per Tesla, their supercharging network has a guaranteed uptime of 99.95%, thus ensuring a working charger every time you need to charge your Tesla’s batteries. However, the charging speed will depend on various factors such as battery temperature and current percentage.
The Tesla Model Y will be equipped with an built-in navigation system which will guide you to the nearest supercharging station, will automatically precondition your car’s battery for faster charging, which is a smart integration in Tesla cars.
NOTE: It is important to note that Tesla Model Y has a CCS2 charging port, which makes it functional with other fast charging stations as well, this increases the flexibility of the vehicle as it can be charged via any supercharger.

The manufacturer started the pre-bookings for the Model Y in July 2025 by giving an option of standard and long range for the particular model.
