The Ultraviolette X-47 and F77 now come at reduced prices thanks to BaaS

Ultraviolette Automotive has introduced a new battery rental subscription model defined as Battery Flex. The company has introduced this pricing structure to make the X-47 and F77 motorcycles even more cost-effective by removing the cost of the battery from the bike. 

The Battery Flex works the same as normal BaaS price structure and has been launched in collaboration with Ecofy. With this, the prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 electric motorcycle now starts at just Rs 1.49 lakh, with subscriptions starting at Rs 2,499 per month. The BaaS EMI will be paid over the period of five years with a warranty period of 5 years on the battery pack. 

According to Ultraviolette, the introduction of Battery Flex will reduce the prices by nearly 40%, making these performance motorcycles more accessible to a wide range of consumers. Once the subscription period ends, the ownership of the battery will be transferred to the owner at no additional cost.

Ultraviolette Partnership with Ecofy 

The company has also partnered with Ecofy which is a green-focussed, non-banking financial company (NBFC), which will offer battery financing. As per the company, this partnership will further accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India by making advanced technologies affordable to maintain and own. 

The CEO & Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, Narayan Subramaniam said that the new pricing structure will make our electric motorcycles give a stiff competition to petrol-powered bikes in terms of pricing. He also added that subscription costs will allow riders to access performance-oriented motorcycles, while keeping the operating costs down.
