March 2026 EV 2-Wheeler Sales | Best Selling EVs as Vahan Data
The Indian two-wheeler (E2W) market recorded a phenomenal growth in March 2026. This is also due to the conflict rising in West Asia leading to disruptions in the global fuel supplies, which has shifted the priority of Indian consumers to electric mobility at a rapid rate.
As per latest data from VAHAN for March 2026, the sales projected an impressive growth by big two-wheeler manufacturers, leading to the end of petrol scooters for city rides.

Brand Analysis of March 2026 EV Sales
TVS Motor (49,304): TVS has started the new financial year with a rock solid start and is leading at No 1 position for FY26. Due to panic buying, consumers are buying TVS iQube because of its reliability and brand’s wide network reach.
Bajaj Chetak (46,246): Bajaj has solidified its position and is leading at No 2 position. The Chetak has become a top choice for those prioritising a “solid metal” build. The Chetak brand has emerged as a bigger brand than Bajaj and has become a household name in India.
Ather Energy (35,688): This was one of the most important months for Ather as it showed a YoY growth of 128%. All thanks to Ather Rizta, known for its practicality. Ather understood the nature of the Indian market and launched a scooter specifically tailored for family users. Thus making it stand at the 3rd position.

Hero Vida (21,434): Hero is slowly growing its popularity as the Vida electric scooter brand in smaller towns. Hero’s Vida VX2’s removable battery has become a game changer in the segment.
Ola Electric (10,117): Ola witnessed a major downfall at -150% MoM back in March. Despite various issues in their supply chain and service backlogs, they have bounced back by implementing aggressive marketing tactics and have moved their inventory.
