The Gujarat Subsidy Breakdown
The state’s financial incentives are quite simple yet straightforward and are calculated on the vehicle's battery capacity (Energy in kWh). One of the most interesting subsidies is Rs 10,000 per kWh. These funds are transferred directly to your bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by the State Transport Department.
- Two-Wheelers: The Two-wheelers with a maximum battery capacity of 2 kWh can get a subsidy of up to Rs 20,000. However, it is important to note that your sleek two-wheeler should not exceed ex-factory price of Rs 1.5 lakh.
- Three-Wheelers: The three-wheelers are limited to the maximum battery capacity of 5 kWh as buyers are eligible for a maximum subsidy of up to Rs 50,000. The maximum ex-showroom cost is rated at Rs 5 lakhs.

Four-Wheelers: For cars, the maximum battery capacity is rated at 15 kWh, translating to a maximum subsidy of Rs 1,50,000. In order to qualify for the subsidy, the ex-showroom cost must not exceed Rs 15 lakhs.
Gujarat EV Subsidy Charging Infrastructure Incentives
EVs are only successful when there is a developed charging infrastructure and this policy is supporting the foundation of the EV ecosystem, which is the charging infrastructure. The commercial public EV charging stations are eligible for a brilliant 25% capital subsidy on equipment and machinery, which is limited to Rs 10 lakhs for the first 250 stations.
