The Comet EV is one of the most affordable electric cars in MG’s lineup and comes with a single 17.3 kWh battery pack. The maintenance cost of Comet EV is very low compared to ICE cars and is under Rs 10,000 for the first 10,000-20,000 Km. There are very minimal expenses after the free scheduled services which usually happen at 10k, 20k, and 30k km.

MG Comet EV Service Schedule & Cost Details

MG provides three free services which are typically scheduled at 10,000 km/1 year, 20,000 km/2 years, and 30,000 km/3 years. However, early service costs (5,000-10,000 Km) include small parts replacements of A/C filters or reducer oil, which is estimated to cost under ₹1,000.

Package Options: MG is also providing "e-Shield" protection plans which includes Classic and Premium plans covering maintenance costs starting from roughly Rs 8,700.

As Comet is an EV, there are no regular oil changes, spark plug replacements, or complex transmission repairs and services which ensures 50% lower maintenance costs as compared to conventional petrol and diesel cars.
