The next Mahindra electric vehicle launch is set for 2027.

Mahindra has confirmed that they are all set to bring a new electric vehicle to the Indian market in 2027, which could be the production version of the BE.07 concept displayed in August 2022. It will be called B07. However, the 2027 launch signifies that the launch of electric SUV is delayed from its original launch timeline of October 2026.

Mahindra BE.07: What to Expect?

The BE.07 concept will be the second model to be launched under the Mahindra’s BE nameplate and the brand’s fourth all-electric model after the XEV 9e and BE 6. The production model could be given a new name, but the concept has showcased a large 4.6-meter 5-seater electric SUV with a traditional body style and will be positioned above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s electric lineup.

The production-spec BE.07 will be underpinned by the same INGLO platform as the other EVs and will come with the battery combination of 60 kWh and 80 kWh. Visually, the styling cues will be retained with other Mahindra EVs which includes edgy lighting signatures. Apart from this, the overall design will be more conventional as compared to the radically designed BE 6 and XEV 9e.

The interior will also house the same triple-screen layout, but it would be great if Mahindra could also add physical buttons as many companies are bringing back physical controls in their cars. 

Mahindra is looking at BE.07 as a High Selling Product.

Mahindra has high hopes with their upcoming B07 as the Executive Director & CEO of Mahindra, Rajesh Jejurikar, expressed his views on this and said, “We are setting a vision for the B07 to be a high selling product as compared to our three on-sale products.”
