Renault has high hopes with this launch as they are targeting around 80,000-90,000 unit sales from the sub-4 meter electric SUV space.
Renault ‘Mini Duster’ Technical Details
Renault’ upcoming SUV is expected to be powered with multiple powertrains including an option of two battery packs: 35 kWh and 55 kWh, a hybrid, a new 1.2-litre NA engine, and a turbocharged engine. Visually, the vehicle could derive styling inspiration from the Bridger concept that showcased Renault’s future design vision for emerging markets. Thus the upcoming new SUV could be positioned between the Kiger and Duster. However, the company will be revealing the official details on March 10, 2026.
The upcoming model will be underpinned by new R-GMP platform, which will be locally manufactured with India-specific requirements in order to reduce the manufacturing cost in order to ramp up production volumes for Renault.
