Renault has given a sneak peek of its latest Bridger concept as it showcases a new compact SUV that will be launched at the end of 2027 and will be positioned between the Kiger and Duster. The CEO of Renault, Fabrice Cambolive expressed this and said, “Bridger will be Renault’s most important launch and serve as a key pillar of Renault’s global engineering expertise.”

Renault Bridger Concept Design

Visually, the Renault Bridger measures under 4 meters in length and sports boxy shape and upright body-shape, thus taking inspiration from the old ladder frame SUVs. At the front, it gets aggressive strake-shaped LED lights with a striking ‘RENAULT’ branding in the middle, which is further enclosed in a large blacked-out grille section.

The side profile features squarish fenders and wheel-arch cladding, along with the addition of 18-inch square-spoke alloy wheels and a 200 mm of ground clearance. The rear handles are placed in the C-Pillar, with window line funnels complimenting the rear portion of the SUV.

One of the interesting design highlights is the inclusion of the tail-gate mounted spare integrated with LED tail-lamps. This gives the Bridger concept a bulky SUV look from the rear hinting at the side-opening tailgate.

Renault Bridger Concept Powertrains

Renault will be underpinning the Bridger concept with R-GMP platform as this platform supports a diverse range of powertrains including petrol, hybrid, and EV powertrains.
