Saudi Arabia's CEER makes its grand entrance with a pair of fully electric vehicles: the Exobot sedan and SUV.

Saudi Arabia’s national automotive company, CEER, made its entry into the electric passenger market with its Exobot electric sedan and SUV on Monday. This has been a vision for industrial diversification under the Saudi Vision 2030. The cars were introduced by Saudi Arabia’s crown prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz AI Saud. 

These vehicles are manufactured at CEER’s largest production facility situated in the middle east. The Exobot sedan and SUV will be the flagship products, as CEER is planning to introduce five more models in the next five years, thus expanding its product lineup. These will include midsize and compact vehicles with different powertrain options. 

CEER Exobot Sedan and SUV Design 

Dimension-wise, the sedan measures 5.26 meters in length, 2.1 meters wide and 1.43 meters tall, while the SUV is around 5.02 meters long, 2.1 meters in width, and 1.69 meters tall. Both cars have wide stance and come with a wedge-shaped profile. 

One of the key highlights of the design is the substantial windscreen to be ever attached to a private passenger vehicle. It features laminated glass with a reflective coating for reducing solar heat coming in the cabin. 

According to CEER, in high-heat conditions, the cabin temperatures can be reduced from 65 DegC to 32 DegC in just 10 minutes. The car is also equipped with lightweight forged aluminium wheels featuring a triangular design. Another unique addition is the nearly 3 meters long wing doors, which are open to 60 cm arc to provide a wider opening for front and rear passengers. 

CEER Exobot Sedan and SUV Features 

• It comes with a 48-inch pillar-to-pillar 8K display that is the main highlight of the dashboard, as it also comes with a 10.4-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch rear display are also available. 

• The Exobot models also get steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering. 
• The center console gets a combination of physical and digital controls, with key functions such as gear selection, climate control, and volume adjustment through dedicated physical buttons. 
• The First Edition gets black and red Nappa leather seats, with a ‘First Edition’ branding into the headrests. It also gets bespoke floor mats and a unique First Edition plaque. 

CEER Exobot Sedan and SUV Battery & Range

POWER: The Exobot sedan gets a significant NEDC-certified range of 670 Km, and can be charged from 10-80% in just 30 minutes. It can accelerate from 0-100 kph in a whopping 2.6 seconds. The Sedan generates 850 Hp and 1,000 Nm of peak torque. 

The Exobot SUV comes with a NEDC claimed range of 560 Km and takes around 30 minutes to recharge from 10-80%. It can also accelerate from 0-100 in claimed 2.9 seconds and generates the same power and torque as the sedan. 

The top-spec Exobot models generate a maximum power output of 1,111 Hp and peak torque of 1,500 Nm. The sedan can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 2.1 seconds and a claimed top-speed of 250 kph.
