Just after introducing the Punch EV facelift, Tata is all set to launch the much-awaited Sierra EV in the Q2 of 2026 (April to June). According to sources, it will be positioned below the Harrier EV, which is Tata’s flagship electric SUV.

The Sierra EV will be manufactured at the company’s Sanand facility alongside the Sierra ICE as told by Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Motors, Vivek Shrivastava.

2026 Tata Sierra EV Technical Details

According to Tata, the Sierra EV will be coming with a rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, making it the second model to do so after the flagship Harrier EV. It is also expected that Sierra EV could be powered by the same integrated unit in Punch EV, where the motor and other components are packed in a single housing.

As per Tata, this will help to keep the powertrains more intact and cost-effective in the longer run. The Sierra EV will compete against the likes of competitors such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara and Mahindra BE 6.

2026 Tata Sierra EV Design

Going by the design displayed at the last teaser of the close to production-spec Sierra EV, visually, it is different from the Sierra ICE with a closed grille on the front nose finished in the same body colour and slightly revised bumper detailing.

However, the teaser didn’t showcase much about the cabin but it is expected to feature a three-screen setup consisting of 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen.

Other features include a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, premium audio system and various drive modes.
