Tata Tigor EV facelift to be launched as Aeris EV on September 25.

The 2026 Tata Tigor facelift will be launched under the nameplate of Aeris on September 25, as confirmed by the Indian manufacturer. The brand has also released the first teaser of the new sedan, showcasing the glimpse of the overall design and its features. However, more details are expected to be released in coming days as it is introduced at the end of this week. 

Tata Aeris EV Design 

As compared to the Tigor, the Aeris’s front design appears to be much sleeker yet modern in appearance. It also gets slim LED headlights with a thin DRL strip placed above them. The teaser also reveals LED fog lamps, which the Tigor does not offer. 

Other highlights include redesigned tail-lights, conventional pull-type door handles and a new purple colour shade. If we analyse the design patent images of Aeris, its rear bumper gets the inclusion of reflectors on both sides. 

The patent images also showcase a notchback-style tapering roofline, similar to what we have seen on Tigor. The wheel design is new and it may come with 15 inches, just like the current sedan. As it is just a facelift, the Aeris will be coming with sheet metal changes. The Tigor EV is expected to adopt a similar styling to the ICE version, with some exclusive EV styling cues. 

Tata Aeris EV Expected Battery & Range 

The Aeris may come with the same powertrain specs as the Tigor, as it will be available with ICE and EV powertrains. The Aeris EV could feature the same 26 kWh battery pack. However, the prices could be revised with the facelift. Just like the Tiago EV, the Aeris EV could also come with an option of a Battery-as-a-Subscription (BaaS) option for a lower upfront cost.
