Volvo India has confirmed that it will be increasing the prices for all of its electric models from May 1, 2026. This has come after its competitors like Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW are initiating lineup-wise price revision in April 2026.

Volvo India Price Hike
In India, Volvo only sells two electric cars which includes the EX30, and EC40 electric crossover. According to the Swedish manufacturer, the prices across its entire portfolio will increase by Rs 1 lakh from May 1, although the exact model-wise price revision is not officially declared.
Below we have mentioned the current price list for all electric Volvo cars in India.
|
Model |
Price (Ex-Showroom) |
|
EX30 |
Rs 41 Lakh |
|
EC40 |
Rs 59 Lakh |
Volvo has given a reason for “constant global supply chain disruptions” as the main reason for the ongoing price hike. However, the ongoing conflict in West Asia has restricted the tanker movement through the Strait of Hormuz, due to which, the costs for raw materials are increased which is important for vehicle manufacturing.
Volvo also issues an official statement citing till geopolitical and economic situations, and till it improves, the automakers will continue to increase prices.
