The Vinfast VF5 has been spotted undergoing tests in India.
Vinfast was recently spotted testing the VF5 SUV in India as a heavily camouflaged version of the VF5 SUV was spotted testing, which showcases the design of the India-spec version. As Vinfast is gearing up to launch the VF5, it will be positioned below the VF6 after launch.
The Vietnamese manufacturer is also expected to launch the fleet version of the VF5 specifically for its Green SM taxi service.
Vinfast VF5: Key Details revealed by the Spy Shots
The overall silhouette of the VF5 is largely similar to the global version, as there are various differentiating features noticed by looking at the test mule. Looking at the front type of the prototype, it features a more upright look equipped with a clamshell bonnet.
The headlamps get a revised look which just hints that the India-spec VF5 would be getting a revised fascia as compared to the international-spec version.
If we look at the side profile, the mule comes with a similar design for the glass house and includes black wheel arches, black section on the C-Pillar, and moulding on the lower sides. The rear end houses a raked windscreen, while the horizontal section on the tailgate hints at the connected LED tail-lamp setup, as provided in the global model.

On the inside, the test mule features a completely different layout from the international model as it features all-black colour scheme, two-spoke steering wheel, cup holders on the center console. It will also come with a dedicated instrument cluster, as it will get a larger floating infotainment display, which is the main source of information and various functionalities.
The India-spec version will be within the 4-meter in length as the global-spec VF5 measures 3,967mm in length, 1,723 mm in width and 1,579 mm in height with a significant wheelbase of 2,514 mm.
