2026 BMW i7 Launched in India | Battery Packs Explained
BMW has introduced the 2026 7 Series facelift in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.95 crore. The 7-series facelift comes with updated exterior and interior, along with some powertrain changes. BMW has also launched the luxury sedan’s updated pure electric models, the i7 in 50 xDrive and M70 versions. The i7 50 xDrive will be locally manufactured at BMW’s Chennai plant.

RANGE: BMW has claimed that there is an increase of 125 Km of range over the previous model and now stands at 728 km of Range (WLTP-certified). The top-spec M70 xDrive provides a range of 686 Km (also WLTP).

It also supports a 250 kW DC fast charger, which provides 10-80% charge in just 28 minutes. As claimed by BMW, a 10-minute top-up can add a range of 235 Km. It is also compatible with a 22 kW AC charger, which takes about 6 hours for a 0-100% charge.

2026 BMW i7 Facelift Design
The updated i7 gets various styling upgrades which are added to the original design of the outgoing model. These new design inserts include a more squared-off kidney grille with illuminated surrounds, revised LED headlamps and a new front bumper.
The top-spec i7 M70 xDrive gets a larger front air intake and also features signature M badges placed on the Hofmeister kink of the side windows and on the outer edges of the rear lights. It also gets the addition of 21-inch alloy wheels.

On the sides, BMW has presented a new alloy-wheel design while keeping the standard flush-fitting door handles. The rear i7 gets new tail-lamps with smoked lenses, along with the addition of a new redesigned tailgate and bumper.
2026 BMW i7 Facelift Features
- The facelift comes equipped with BMW’s Panoramic Vision Full-Width projection at the windscreen’s base. The rhomboidal touchscreen present at the center measures 17.9 inches and operates on BMW’s latest Operating System X.
- There is also an addition of a new passenger screen as well, which measures 14.6-inches. BMW has also introduced a four-spoke steering wheel, just like in its Neue Klasse models.

- The i7 gets a 31.3-inch entertainment screen at the rear and powered doors have been retained as well. It now features a Bowers & Wilkins surround audio system with Dolby Atmos.
- Other features include over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, powered ottomans, powered, heated, ventilated and massaging seats, connected car tech and ADAS.
