EMO Energy has announced its entry into the heavy commercial HCV segment with a dedicated battery platform designed specifically for electric buses, trucks, and commercial fleets.

According to the company, the platform seamlessly blends battery systems, charging systems, thermal management, and AI-powered battery monitoring software into a single solution. It is designed to solve the operational challenges associated with commercial EV deployment, which also includes vehicle downtime, overheating, charging issues, and battery degradation.

The platform can accommodate battery systems of up to 800V and is compatible with both lithium-ion phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) cell batteries. The company has stated that it can support charging times of less than 30 minutes. 

The platform comprises modular battery architecture, immersion-cooling based thermal management, a smart battery management system (BMS), cell-level monitoring, predictive diagnostics, safety features, vehicle-specific configurations, and EMO Energy’s battery intelligence platform, SENS.
