Ferrari has made its iconic presence in the automotive industry with roaring V8s and powerful V12s. However, with the launch of their first electric car, the Luce EV, they have entered a new dimension of all-electric mobility.

The Ferrari Luce EV adopts a completely different approach from the traditional sports cars, as it features four doors, five seats and a completely new interior that seamlessly integrates digital displays with physical buttons and mechanical switches.

Ferrari Luce EV Quad-Motor Setup

Instead of a conventional dual-motor setup, Ferrari has powered the Luce with 4 electric motors, attached to each wheel, generating a combined power output of a staggering 1,036 Bhp.

What does it bring to the Spec Sheet?

  • 0-100 km/hr: A Blistering 2.5 Seconds.
  • Top Speed: Over 310 Km/hr (Claimed)

As each wheel is powered by a separate electric motor, the car doesn’t launch like a rocket. It effectively utilises power to every electric motor in real time. Whether you are pushing it into a straight or carving roads, the system adjusts accordingly by maintaining grip, stability, and traction.

Ferrari Luce EV Battery & Range

The high-performance electric cars often face sudden reduction in range when tapping the accelerator for more power. Ferrari has addressed this and provided Luce with a substantial 122 kWh battery pack.

RANGE: The Luce EV provides 530 Km of claimed range on a single charge. However, real-world range depends on how you push the accelerator pedal, weather conditions, and highway speeds.

CHARGING: The Luce EV also supports fast DC charging at up to 350 kW. When you need faster charging, plug it into a compatible ultra-fast DC fast charger, as the battery is specifically engineered to recharge rapidly.

Ferrari has also ditched their old traditional sports car setup and has underpinned a new electric skateboard platform from the ground up. The Luce EV is the first car from the brand to feature four doors and five seats.

Ferrari has also stretched the wheelbase and attached the battery to the floor. They have also provided enhanced cabin space, thus making the supercar family-friendly.

SUSPENSION: Packing a bigger 122 kWh battery pack and attaching five seats add enormous weight to the car. In order to make the Luce EV agile and planted, it comes with:

  • Active Suspension: It analyzes the road and reduces body roll during hard cornering or sudden braking.
  • Four-Wheel Steering: It virtually reduces the overall wheelbase specifically at low speeds for tight turns and keeps the car in traction during high-speed lane changes.
  • Advanced Torque Vectoring: It comes integrated with four electric motors in order to regulate the torque evenly to individual wheels in corners with precision.
