VIDA, a popular electric two-wheeler brand by Hero, has launched its operations in Nepal via a distributor partnership with CG Motors (Chaudhary Group), making the start of the brand's global presence.

The company has introduced VIDA VX2 electric scooter range which includes the VX2 Plus and VX2 Go, along with the launch of an electric off-road bike specifically for children, the VIDA DIRT.E K3.

VX2 Plus: The VX2 Plus is equipped with a 4.4 kWh removable battery and a claimed 140 Km of range on a single charge with a claimed top speed of 90 km/hr. It also comes with 18-degree gradeability and can achieve 0-40 km/hr in just 3.1 seconds. It also supports fast DC charging and can charge from 0-80% in just 65 minutes.

VX2 Go: The VX2 Go comes with a 2.2 kWh removable battery and comes with a certified real world range of 75 Km on a single charge. It also commands a top speed of 70 km/hr and can achieve 0-40 km/hr in 4.2 seconds. It also supports the same 65-minute DC charging. 

Both scooters come with home charging support via standard 5A socket and also provide navigation, geo-fencing, call/SMS alerts, OTA updates, and My VIDA app connectivity. On the other hand, the VIDA DIRT.E K3 comes powered with 350W motors and a 360Wh removable battery. 

Thus the DIRT.E K3 provides three hours of riding time and comes with three app-controlled speeds and can be charged from 20-80% in just 2 hours.

Hero MotoCorp is not new to Nepal as they have been present in the country since 2014. Thus the company will be expanding its lineup in the country with the launch of their VIDA range by entering the electric mobility segment. 

The Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, Kausalya Nadakumar, expressed his views on this and said, “This launch is the most proud moment for VIDA as they are broadening their presence in the international markets. We are thrilled to take the best of our engineering and design abilities beyond the Indian market.”
