The interior of the Jaguar Type 01 has been unveiled in anticipation of its debut on October 6.

Jaguar has showcased the interiors of its first upcoming electric car, the Type 01 electric GT. The interior has a strong resemblance to the Type 00 concept and features a radical exterior design. Jaguar will introduce the production-spec Type 01 in New York on October 6. 

Jaguar Type 01 Electric GT Interior: What’s New? 

The interior design of the Jaguar Type 01 is termed as “a concept car vision brought to production”. The production-spec model is equipped with a “central spine” that runs across the length of the dashboard and further divides into four individual sections, which is one for each passenger. 

The central spine features a brass finish and comes with a small screen present at the front for controlling the HVAC controls. The AC screen and another display, defined as “hidden on-demand technology” as called by Jaguar, is integrated seamlessly into the EV platform. 

There is also an inclusion of a swooping roof with a large panoramic glass, which comes with lighting patterns. The Jaguar Type 01 does not come with rear windscreen but also gets the addition of digital rearview cameras. It also comes with four seats integrated with dual-tone upholstery. 

The doors also include the same brass finish as the central spine, but also houses Jaguar’s ‘leaper’ logo. The Type 01’s interior is crafted with travertine stone (Natural Limestone) and textures of artisan textiles for a premium experience. 

Jaguar Type 01 Technical Details 

POWER: Jaguar is all set to introduce its Type 01 in New York on October 6, 2026, as the brand states as ‘Reinvention’ as an all-electric brand. The Type 01 is underpinned by Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform, providing a claimed range of over 700 Km and will be powered with three electric motors generating over 1,000 Hp. 

The Jaguar Type 01 is expected to launch in the global markets by the first half of 2027 going against the likes of Ferrari Luce, Audi e-Tron GT, Porsche Taycan, and Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door coupe.
