JLR Range Rover Sport Electric battery specifications leaked on social media.
Tata Group’s battery making partner, Agratas, which has been shared by @Xroaders on social media about the brand’s broad battery strategy which will include Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery chemistries. This will further strengthen the link between Agratas and upcoming Jaguar Land Rover electric vehicles.

Agratas has set up two major manufacturing sites in place, one is situated in Somerset in UK and the other in Sanand, Gujarat. The Somerset plant has a total capacity of 40 GWh, while the Sanand plant has 20 GWh and is developed to supply batteries for Tata Motors cars sold specifically in India.
AdvertisementAccording to Tata Group Chairperson, Natrajan Chandrasekaran, Tata EVs will source Agratas-developed battery packs from 2027. As per latest information, Agratas will not solely depend on single chemistry as Tata models are known for their LFP battery packs, thus it will give Agratas an opportunity to cater to different vehicle needs.

Cell Details Emerged
LFP BATTERY: As per the leaked specifications, the LFP cell will come with dimensions of 295 mm by 120 mm by 36 mm, as it will have a nominal capacity of 175 Ah, voltage of 3.2V, an operating voltage of 2.5V to 3.65V, and stored energy of 562 Wh. These cells are designed to be reliable and support 2,500 charging cycles, operating in temperatures between -30 Degrees and 60 Degrees.
NMC BATTERY: The details of two NMC variants were also listed. The first is a slim cell measuring 295 mm by 92 mm by 20.7 mm, with a nominal capacity of 102 Ah and stored energy of 374 Wh.
The second is a comparatively taller version measuring at 295 mm by 120 mm by 20.7 mm, with a higher 173 Ah capacity and 636 Wh of energy. Both are set to perform in the same temperature bandwidth and offer 1,000 charge cycles.
