At the start of 2026, Volvo cars unveiled sales figures of past three-months instead of a one month, as it provides more accurate and precise analysis of the company’s sales performance over time. Sales figures revealed a 13% Year-on-Year growth on its fully electric cars, but also witnessed various challenges across market regions with various pressures and increased pricing.
The Chief commercial Officer of Volvo, Erik Severinson, expressed his views on this and said, “We are very happy with the growth of sales of our fully electric cars, with EX90 and EX30 being major contributors. In markets like China, our XC70 long range PHEV has continued to dominate the market and expand our position in the rapidly evolving segment.
Apart from this, we are very confident with the growing customer interest in our highly advanced EX60 electric SUV, which has been globally introduced in January.”
