Kia has introduced the Syros EV with up to 526 Km of Range

Kia has taken the wraps of its much awaited Syros EV, which will be launched later this month. The all-electric Syros EV is underpinned by the K1 platform. The Syros EV retains the same visual appearance of the ICE version sharing the same battery packs with Carens Clavis EV and Hyundai Creta Electric. The company has started accepting the bookings at Rs 25,000. 

Kia Syros EV Technical Specs 

The Kia Syros EV comes with an option of a smaller 42 kWh and a substantial 51.4 kWh battery pack. As it shares the battery pack with big models like Creta Electric and Clavis EV, the Syros in comparison is quite smaller, thus it packs more range. 

According to Kia, the claimed ARAI range of Syros EV is 526 Km for the bigger 51.4 kWh and a 443 Km range for the 42 kWh battery configuration. 

POWER: The bigger 51.4 kWh version generates a maximum power output of 171 Hp and peak torque of 255 Nm, while the 42 kWh produces 135 Hp and 255 Nm of peak torque. The claimed 0-100 km/hr comes in just 8.1 seconds for the 51.4 kWh. Compared to its competition, the Syros EV is more powerful. 

CHARGING: Kia is providing 7.4 kW and 11 kW AC charging options. With this, the smaller battery can be charged from 10-100% in 6 hours, while the larger battery takes around 7 hours and 15 minutes. It also supports fast charging up to 100 kW DC fast charger. Utilising this, the 51.4 kWh battery can be charged from 10-100% in 39 minutes.

Kia Syros EV Design & Interiors

The Syros EV comes with the same design as the ICE version, as the only difference is the charging port on the front fender. Apart from this, everything is carried over from the ICE-powered Syros such as front and rear lighting signatures, body cladding, inserts on the bumper and 17-inch alloy wheels. 

FEATURES: 

• On the inside, it comes with the same Trinity Panoramic Display including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch center infotainment screen and 5.0-inch for the climate controls. 
• It gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging pad & 8-speaker Harmon Kardon Audio system. 
• The Syros EV also gets reclining and ventilated rear seats and the front seats are powered and ventilated as well. 
• Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, 6 airbags, 360-Degree camera, ESC, Hill-start assist, front parking sensors, and electronic parking brake (EPS).
