MG Motors launches the Hector Tomahawk EV in EV & PHEV versions | Prices starting from Rs 13.99 Lakh
JSW MG Motors has created a revolution in the mid-size SUV segment and launched their Hector Tomahawk SUV in PHEV and EV versions at a starting battery-as-a-Service price of 13.99 lakh. The car is heavily based on the international-spec Wuling Starlight 560 and smartly utilised the Hector branding in order to connect with the Indian consumers.
The special prices for PHEV model starts at Rs 21.79 lakh + Rs 3.2 Per Km.
MG has derived the word Tomahawk from the fighter jet of the early 90s which represents Range, Durability, and reliability. The Tomahawk world also represents substantial range, which resonates well with the Tomahawk EV and PHEV versions.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV Design & Dimensions
The Hector Tomahawk EV’s design is quite traditional like a regular SUV and comes with boxy proportions, featuring an upright stance and a bold honeycomb grille, integrated with modern LED headlamps. It also comes with an option of 5-seater and 7-seater configurations catering to different sets of consumers looking for space.
Visually, the Tomahawk EV commands a robust road presence and is quite bigger than the traditional Hector on the roads.
DIMENSIONS: In terms of dimensions, it measures around 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,770 mm height, with a significant wheelbase of 2,810 mm. It also provides a massive ‘Maharaja-like’ legspace specifically for the rear occupants.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Advanced PHEV Technology
MG has taken the range anxiety among EV users very seriously and introduced a revolutionary Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, which has been made to India's mass-market for the first time. MG also offers a lifetime battery warranty with a 3-year unlimited vehicle warranty, 3-years of roadside assistance.
PHEV: Unlike conventional hybrid systems, the Hector Tomahawk EV comes with a petrol engine integrated with a large 20.5 kWh battery, providing 115 km of range in pure EV mode which users can charge at home. It can also accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just 9 seconds. It gets a connected i-Smart 3.0 and comes with Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology and provides a 115 km of range on pure EV mode.

MG Hector Tomahawk Interiors
The interiors are crafted with a plush cabin featuring a 39.62 cm HD touchscreen powered by i-Smart 3.0, which is MG’s most advanced connected car platform providing 80+ connected car features, and a 12.35-cm digital driver display. It also comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
On the inside, the Tomahawk EV gets a desert-inspired interior theme featuring 256-colour ambient lighting adding to the overall experience with a 10-speaker premium audio system creates an immersive audio experience.

MG Hector Tomahawk Features
- Safety features include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety suite, high-tensile steel structure with enhanced rigidity with occupant protection.
- It also comes with an illuminated MG logo and features Beacon headlamps and LED DRLs finished with chrome accents. Other features include R18-inch rotor alloy wheels, turn indicators integrated with ORVMs, LED rear fog lamps, and automatic powered tailgate for easy access to the boot.
- It comes with a highly accommodating boot space of 610 litres in 5-seat configuration and 528-litres with third row folded, which can be further extended.
